Patrick Becker

Prof. Dr. Patrick Becker holds the Professorship for Fundamental Theology and Religious Studies at the Faculty of Catholic Theology, University of Erfurt. He serves as Academic Dean and holds multiple institutional roles, including Member of the Performance Pay Commission and Chair of the Internal Accreditation Commission. His work bridges theology with interdisciplinary concerns like science-religion dialogue, cultural sensitivity, and modernization challenges.

Becker’s research focuses on religious fundamentalism, postmodern theological epistemology, evolutionary approaches to religion, and Christian social ethics.
