Patricia Sanchez-Connally

Patricia Sanchez-Connally serves as an Associate Professor in the Sociology & Criminology Department at Framingham State University and Assistant Coordinator of the RAMS 101 Program.

Her academic credentials include a Master’s in Applied Sociology from UMass-Boston and a Ph.D. from UMass-Amherst, building expertise in critical sociological frameworks. Research interests span Race and Ethnicity, Latinx Studies, Higher Education Attainment, and Immigration, with current focus on how first-generation multiethnic Latinx students navigate identity, belonging, and exclusion within campus cultural organizations at predominantly white institutions. This collaborative work extends her broader investigations into capital transmission and resilience within communities of color supporting underrepresented high-achieving students.
