Patricia Sanchez

Patricia Sanchez is a Lecturer in Ethnic Studies at California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Comparative Ethnic Studies from Cal Poly and a Master’s degree in Ethnic Studies from San Francisco State University.

Her research focuses on educational disparities faced by marginalized communities, particularly financial challenges affecting students of color. She examines how financial instability impacts academic performance and has conducted research on COVID-19's exacerbation of educational inequalities through student interviews. Her scholarly work also explores the intersectionality of race, culture, and education in Latinx/a/o and Indigenous contexts.
