Patricia Ortega-Miranda is a Lecturer of Art History at the Rome School of Music, Drama, and Art, The Catholic University of America. She is concurrently a Ph.D. candidate in Art History & Archaeology at the University of Maryland, College Park, specializing in Modern and Contemporary Latin American Art. She holds a Master’s degree in Art History from the University of Texas at Austin.
Her research explores the intersections of Art History, Critical Theory, and Transnationalism, with a focus on Latin American artistic movements from the mid-20th century to the present. She emphasizes global networks in Contemporary Art pedagogy and curatorial practice.
Curatorial projects include exhibitions for internationally recognized artists such as Carlos Martiel, Glenda León, Daniela Libertad, and Karen Rifas.
