Patricia Mordaunt serves as a Lecturer at Technological University Dublin within the School of Physics, Clinical and Optometric Sciences, where she teaches the BSc Optometry and BSc Ophthalmic Dispensing programmes. She holds dual leadership roles as Co-programme Chair and Practice Education Coordinator for the Ophthalmic Dispensing Programme while serving on the Sciences & Health Faculty Board responsible for academic policy implementation.

She secured significant research funding as core team member for the Irish Aid/HEA Mozambique Eyecare Project (2008-2013, €2.41 million) alongside Dr. James Loughman and Prof. Kovin Naidoo.
