Patrice Bellot serves as Professor of Computer Science at Aix-Marseille University since 2011, holding dual leadership roles as Deputy Director of LIS (Laboratoire d'Informatique et Systèmes) and Scientific Delegate for CNRS Computer Sciences in Text Mining, Scientific and Technical Information, and Open Science domains. He additionally lectures at Ecole Centrale Méditerranée and University of Limoges since 2024.
His research centers on Natural Language Processing and Information Retrieval with specialized focus on question-answering systems, sentiment/emotion analysis, and content recommendation frameworks for digital libraries. Within LIS, he actively contributes to the R2I (Information Research and Interactions) research team.
