Patrese Anderson

Patrese Anderson is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of California, Santa Barbara within the Climate Hazards Center and the Department of Geography. Her research explores the intersection of climate change and food systems, focusing on climate anomalies' impact on staple food prices in Southern Africa using earth observation, remote sensing, and machine learning methods.

Her work also examines urban-rural food system linkages under a Postdoctoral Fellowship with Kathy Baylis. Previous roles include teaching Intermediate Microeconomic Theory and serving as a research/teaching assistant at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
