Pasi Moisio is a Research Professor and Docent at the Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare (THL), within the Department of Healthcare and Social Welfare, specifically in the Social Security and Services unit under Welfare State Research. His primary roles include serving as Principal Investigator for the THL-INVEST Flagship and the STN-FLUX research project, and as Chair of the Social Security Committee.
His expertise lies in social policy, the welfare state, social protection systems, poverty, income inequality, and intergenerational socioeconomic mobility. His research focuses on analyzing inequality and providing scientific advisory input for social policy development.
Mrs. Moisio holds a Docentship from the Department of Social Research at the University of Turku, Finland. He earned his Doctor of Political and Social Science from the European University Institute in Florence, Italy, and a Master’s degree in Social Sciences from the University of Turku, Finland.
