Professor Pasco Fearon is a Professor of Family Research and Director of the Centre for Family Research at the University of Cambridge, specializing in early-in-life determinants of child development. His work emphasizes parent-child relationships, attachment theory, and the interplay between social and genetic processes.

His research spans clinical, developmental, and behavioral sciences, with a focus on intervention studies in the UK and low/middle-income countries. He leads the Children of the 2020s birth cohort study and co-directs the UK-wide Early Life Cohort Feasibility Study.
Professor Fearon collaborates with UK government departments and the NHS to shape child development and mental health policy. He is also an adjunct faculty member at Yale’s Child Study Center and University College London’s Department of Clinical, Educational, and Health Psychology.
