Pascal Fréchette is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Law of the University of Sherbrooke, where he has been teaching since 2014. Previously, he served as a lecturer from 2005. His academic focus includes Obligations Law, Contract Law, and Civil Evidence Law, with significant contributions to housing law and real estate practices.

Fréchette’s research explores the theoretical and practical dimensions of contract qualification, restitution of performances in Quebec civil law, and sociohistorical analyses of donation revocation. His work bridges doctrinal rigor with contemporary legal challenges, particularly in property transactions and testamentary freedom.
His scholarly output emphasizes contract law and civil evidence, with a focus on interpretative frameworks and real estate documentation. Awards include the Henri-Capitant Association Award (2009) and the Quebec Bar Foundation Award (2008), recognizing excellence in private law research.
