Parviz Elahi is an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Engineering, Özyeğin University. He previously held positions at Shiraz University (2005-2010), Bilkent University (2010-2020), and Boğaziçi University (2020-2024), where he founded the Fiber Lasers Laboratory. His research spans both theoretical and experimental domains in fiber laser development and applications.
He specializes in:
- CW and ultrafast fiber laser development
- Laser-matter interaction
- Laser applications in medicine, industry, agriculture, and food science
- Fiber laser-based optical trapping
- Laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy (LIBS)
Dr. Elahi relocated his research laboratory to Özyeğin University in 2024, continuing his work in advanced laser physics and interdisciplinary applications.
