Dr. Parveen Akhtar is a Senior Lecturer in Politics, History, and International Relations at Aston University, affiliated with the Aston Centre for Europe (ACE) and Society and Politics. Previously, she held research positions at institutions including Aalborg University, University of Amsterdam, and Sciences Po Paris. She specializes in British and South Asian politics, focusing on minority politics, political participation, and Islam in politics. Her work has been funded by the Economic and Social Research Council and the British Academy.
