Parul Gandhi

Parul Gandhi, MD is an Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine (Cardiovascular) at Yale University School of Medicine. She holds roles as Associate Fellowship Program Director for Cardiovascular Medicine and Director of the VA Cardiology Elective for Medical Students at the VA Connecticut Healthcare System. Her clinical leadership includes directing the Cardiology Consult Service and CHF Transitional Care Clinic within VA Cardiology.

Dr. Gandhi completed her MD at Penn State College of Medicine (2006), residency and chief residency at NYU Medical Center (2009-2010), and cardiology fellowships at Mount Sinai (2013) and Massachusetts General Hospital (2015). Her research focuses on cardiovascular biomarkers, heart failure management, and healthcare outcomes in veterans, with emphasis on sex-based differences and clinical decision-making tools.

Her work bridges clinical practice and translational research, addressing gaps in cardiac rehabilitation access, biomarker utilization, and palliative care integration for heart failure patients. Key collaborations involve investigations into troponin interpretation, natriuretic peptide testing, and opioid-related cardiovascular risks.
