Park Hyo-sook

Park Hyo-sook serves as an Associate Professor within the Department of Law, Faculty of Law, specializing in labor law with focused expertise in Korean labor systems and legal frameworks for elderly populations.

Her research portfolio centers on:

• Labor Law: Comprehensive analysis of employment regulations, worker protections, and industrial dispute resolution mechanisms.
• Korean Labor Law: In-depth examination of South Korea's unique labor statutes, enforcement practices, and evolving jurisprudence.
• Elderly Law: Critical investigation of legal safeguards for aging workers, pension systems, and anti-discrimination measures in later-life employment.

In May 2024, Professor Park received the prestigious 38th Cho Young Prize, recognizing her scholarly impact and innovative contributions to labor law scholarship, particularly regarding elderly workforce protections.

She directs the Labor Law Seminar, a specialized academic forum where students engage with contemporary labor law challenges through case analysis and policy debates, with particular emphasis on Korean contexts and aging-related legal issues.
