Professor Paraskevi Paparseniou is a Law School Professor of Civil Law at the University of Athens, Faculty of Law. She has been practicing as an Attorney at Law since 1990. Her expertise spans Civil Law, European Private Law, Consumer Protection Law, and Copyright Law. She has contributed to legislative committees, including the implementation of EU Directives 2019/770/EU and 2019/771/EU, and is a member of the Central Committee of Codification (Law 4622/2019). She also serves on the Board of Trustees of the ERA Academy of European Law in Trier (2012–2015) and collaborates with institutions like the Max Planck Institute for Innovation and Competition.

- PhD in Law, University of Athens (1994), thesis: Financial Leasing – A critical analysis in the light of liability for defects
Research interests focus on European legal harmonization, consumer rights, and intellectual property. She authored five monographs and numerous articles in Greek, German, and English, addressing topics like monetary obligations, copyright enforcement, and EU consumer acquis. Her work frequently engages with European Court of Justice precedents and transnational legal frameworks.
Professional activities include advising individuals and organizations on private law matters, legislative drafting, and academic leadership roles such as Director of the Institute for European Legal Studies (IELS). Office hours are held via Webex on Thursdays during academic terms.
