Paolo Squatriti

Paolo Squatriti is Professor of History at the University of Michigan, jointly appointed in Romance Languages and Program in the Environment. He holds affiliation with the College of Literature, Science, and the Arts.

Research specializes in European medieval environmental history, particularly landscape transformations during Late Antiquity and the Early Middle Ages. Work examines intersections of climate history, agricultural practices, and cultural change in Mediterranean contexts.
