Paolo Sereni

Dr. Paolo Sereni is a Researcher in the Department of Chemistry and Physics of Materials at the University of Salzburg, affiliated with the Faculty of Natural and Life Sciences. He holds the academic rank of Researcher and has been active in teaching and research since at least 2007. His roles include leading courses such as Physics Practical Courses, Electronics and IT Practice for Physics, and Data Acquisition systems. He has supervised numerous theses in Engineering and Teacher Training programs, focusing on experimental design, instrumentation, and materials characterization.

His research interests center around Raman spectroscopy, data acquisition systems, and materials characterization, with a focus on semiconductor materials and instrumentation development using LabVIEW. He has contributed to over 20 publications and conference presentations, including works on Raman tensors analysis, temperature-dependent material properties, and sensor automation.

Dr. Sereni has received the Award for Outstanding Teaching (2012/2013) and has been active in academic events such as the VIP Congress and Austrian Physical Society meetings. His work spans both experimental physics and applied engineering, with contributions to fields like solid-state synthesis, measurement systems, and educational instrumentation.
