University of California, San Franciscoمعرفی
Paolo Rinaudo is a Professor at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), affiliated with the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Sciences Research Programs. He is a Principal Investigator at the UCSF Center for Reproductive Health and the Eli & Edith Broad Center of Regeneration Medicine & Stem Cell Research.
Research Interests: His work focuses on the long-term effects of in vitro fertilization (IVF) and preimplantation embryo culture on fetal and adult development, with a particular emphasis on the developmental origins of health and disease (DOHaD). His studies analyze phenotypic differences in IVF-generated animals, placental abnormalities, and epigenetic changes such as DNA methylation and histone code modifications.
Publications and Contributions: His recent research spans cardiometabolic health in IVF-derived mice, oxidative stress in human embryos, placentation differences, and metabolic regulation of preimplantation development. He authored the free eBook A Practical Guide to Fertility and IVF, providing clinical insights into ART.
- Mouse models of IVF
- Epigenetic and metabolomic profiling
- DOHaD hypothesis application
- Comparative analysis of ART outcomes
Supporting Research: The Rinaudo laboratory relies on donations to continue experiments, with funds directed toward improving IVF protocols and understanding long-term health risks in IVF children.
