Paolo Pinotti is an Associate Professor of Economics at Bocconi University's Department of Social and Political Sciences, serving as Dean of the Faculty and Endowed Chair in the Economic Analysis of Crime. He coordinates Fondazione Rodolfo Debenedetti and directs the CLEAN Unit at BAFFI-CAREFIN. His research focuses on crime, immigration, discrimination, and mass media, employing advanced econometric methods. Key publications appear in top journals like American Economic Review and Econometrica. In 2016, he received the AEJ Best Paper Award. Pinotti holds prestigious grants including an ERC Consolidator Grant for 'Clean Evidence on Dirty Deeds' and an Italian PRIN Grant for 'Dark Side of the Money.'
