Paolo Armellini

Paolo Armellini is an Associate Professor of History of Political Thought at Sapienza University of Rome, Faculty of Political Science, Sociology, Communication, Department of Political Science. He teaches History of Federalist Thought for the Master's degree in International Relations, History of Political Doctrines for the Bachelor's degree in International Cooperation and Development, and History of Modernization. His academic career spans over two decades, having served as a researcher since November 2001 and achieving national habilitation for full professor in 2018.

Armellini's research interests focus on Political Philosophy, History of Political Thought, Federalism, Constitutionalism, Modern Political History, European Integration, Liberalism, and Democracy Studies. His scholarly work demonstrates deep engagement with Italian political thought, particularly examining figures like Augusto Del Noce, Antonio Rosmini, and Giuseppe Mazzini. His research explores the intersections of political theory, historical development, and contemporary political challenges, with special attention to the evolution of federalist thought and constitutionalism in European context.
