Prof. Paolo Andrei is a Full Professor in Business Economics at the University of Parma's Department of Economics and Business Sciences. He served as Rector of the University (2017–2023), Vice President of the Conference of Italian Universities Rectors (2023), and held multiple leadership roles including Director of the Economics Department and Pro-Rector for Teaching Affairs. He graduated in Economics and Business from the University of Parma in 1987.
His research focuses on:
- Corporate financial communication in Italian and international contexts
- Accounting history and the evolution of business administration
- Corporate social responsibility with emphasis on social reporting frameworks
His publications demonstrate consistent focus on financial reporting innovations, historical accounting analysis, and governance models. Recent work explores food security economics, institutional governance reforms, and 19th-century banking history.
