Paola Villano is a Full Professor of Social Psychology at the University of Bologna, affiliated with the Department of Educational Sciences 'Giovanni Maria Bertin'. She also serves as Rector's Delegate for Workplace Well-being. Her research focuses on social exclusion, migration, prejudice, and workplace inclusion. She holds a Ph.D. in Psychology (1996) and a post-doctoral fellowship (1999) from the University of Bologna.
Education: Graduated Magna Cum Laude in Education (1991), Ph.D. in Psychology (1996), and post-doctoral fellowship (1999).
Research interests include stereotypes, migration policies, antisemitism, and civic engagement. She has conducted studies in Kosovo (2013), led projects on youth political participation, and co-founded the 'Centro Studi di Genere e Educazione'.
Professional roles include visiting professorships at institutions like Brown University (USA), Universidade Federal do Espírito Santo (Brazil), and Harvard University. Current grants include the Horizon SINCRONY project (2024) and the PRIN 2020 INSPIRE initiative.
Awards: Post-doctoral Fellowship (1999). Active in international collaborations, including projects with Kosovo's Ministry of Education and Save the Children.
