Paola Rovelli is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Economics and Management of the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano, where she contributes to the Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Management cluster and the Competence Center for Mountain Innovation Ecosystems. She earned her PhD summa cum laude in Management, Economic and Industrial Engineering from Politecnico di Milano with research on decision authority in firm hierarchies.
Research Interests span family business dynamics, organizational design, CEO/top management team characteristics (including narcissism and gender), and innovation strategies. Her work often integrates socioemotional wealth and behavioral agency models to examine decision-making in family firms.
Article Trends reveal a focus on how family female directors influence innovation, the role of CEO narcissism in family firm innovation, and gender gaps in entrepreneurial entry. Her publications appear in journals like Strategic Entrepreneurship Journal, Human Relations, and Family Business Review.
