Paola Degni is a Full Professor in the Department of Humanities at Ca' Foscari University of Venice, specializing in Paleography (SSD HIST-04/D). Her academic work focuses on Greek Paleography, Codicology, and Byzantine manuscript studies.
Professor Degni's research interests include:
- Greek Paleography and script evolution
- Manuscript production and circulation in Byzantine Italy
- Codicology and manuscript cataloging
- Byzantine book culture and textual transmission
- Greek-Latin translations and cultural exchange
