Paola Cerchiello is a Full Professor of Statistics at the University of Pavia, Italy. She specializes in integrating machine learning and statistical methodologies into financial risk assessment, ESG analysis, and healthcare management. Her research focuses on topics such as credit risk modeling, cryptocurrency dynamics, greenwashing detection, and the socio-economic impacts of pandemics. She leads the PERISCOPE European project (2020–2023), assessing pandemic impacts, and co-leads the xAIM initiative (2021–2024), developing AI-driven healthcare management programs.
Her teaching includes 'Big Data Analysis' in the Master in International Business and Management (MIBE) and 'Machine Learning' at the University of Pavia.
