Panayotis Fasseas is an Associate Professor at the Medical College of Wisconsin, affiliated with Froedtert Hospital and Zablocki VA Medical Center. He is board-certified in Cardiology, Interventional Cardiology, Nuclear Cardiology, Cardiovascular Disease, Vascular Medicine, and Peripheral Vascular Interventions.
His clinical expertise includes coronary interventions, saphenous vein graft management, and carotid artery stenting. Research focuses on comparative outcomes of stent technologies in vein graft lesions, embolic protection devices, and optimization of valvular interventions. He co-led the SOS trial investigating paclitaxel-eluting versus bare-metal stents in saphenous vein grafts.
Fasseas earned his MD from the University of Turin and completed fellowships at Hahnemann University Hospital, Mayo Clinic, and Drexel University College of Medicine. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology.
