Professor Panagiota Angeli serves as Professor of Chemical Engineering within the Department of Chemical Engineering at University College London (UCL), holding an internationally recognized research profile and Fellowship of the Royal Academy of Engineering (FREng). Her leadership extends to strategic research initiatives and departmental equality initiatives.
Her research specializes in multiphase flow dynamics with critical applications in sustainable processing systems. Current work pioneers digital tool integration for multiphase processing and sustainable metal recycling from electronic/nuclear waste streams. She actively develops intensified manufacturing routes adopted by industry partners, driving efficiency and environmental sustainability in chemical engineering processes.
- Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering (FREng)
- Athena Swan Gold Award achieved under her leadership as Deputy Head (ED&I) for UCL's Department of Chemical Engineering
Professor Angeli directs multiple multi-million-pound strategic research projects and co-leads two UKRI programme grants. Her experimental engineering innovations have enabled industrial implementation of advanced manufacturing processes while advancing equality initiatives across the engineering profession through the Athena Swan framework.
