Pamela Thacher is a Professor in the Department of Psychology at St. Lawrence University. She holds a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Connecticut (UConn), followed by an M.A. and Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from UConn. She completed an NIMH postdoctoral fellowship at Brown University’s E.P. Bradley Hospital Sleep and Chronobiology Laboratory. Her research focuses on sleep, insomnia, anxiety, and sleep deprivation, particularly in adolescents. She teaches courses such as Introduction to Psychology, Abnormal Psychology, and The Science of Sleep. Recent publications appear in journals like Sleep, Behavioral Sleep Medicine, and Chronobiology International. A major project involved studying the effects of delayed school start times in Glens Falls, NY, with student collaborators.
