Pamela McVay

Pamela McVay, PhD, is a Professor and Program Director of History & Civic Engagement at Ursuline College in Ohio. She specializes in teaching global history courses covering the Caribbean, China, Europe, and the Middle East, as well as core liberal arts curriculum. Her research focuses on women’s rights in 20th-century India and Indonesia, 17th-century Dutch military culture, and the history of slavery and revolts in 18th-century Dutch Guiana. She emphasizes primary source analysis, guiding students through archival research to uncover historical narratives.
