- Awards: Robert O. Lawton Distinguished Professor, Distinguished Research Professor
Her work integrates clinical, genetic, and hormonal analyses across decades of follow-up data. Current studies address ovarian hormones, gut peptides, and genetic influences on eating pathology. She emphasizes patient-centered care to reduce weight stigma while addressing obesity risks.
Publications span 40 years, with recent focus on pandemic impacts, gender disparities in eating disorder treatment, and genetic factors in suicide risk. Her lab collaborates on multi-wave longitudinal studies and translational research to improve diagnostic criteria and treatment outcomes.
