Pamela J. Walker is a Professor of History at Carleton University, specializing in Modern European and British history, women’s and gender studies, and the history of race and religion. She holds a Ph.D. from Rutgers University and has held significant academic roles, including Director of the Centre for Initiatives in Education (2007–2012) and Joint Chair in Women’s Studies between Carleton University and the University of Ottawa (2011–2014). Her research explores intersections of religion, gender, and colonialism, with notable projects on African American history and British racial identity. She is co-developing a Reacting to the Past role-playing game on suffragette activism and a study of transatlantic Protestant missions in 19th-century Britain.
