Pamela Holens is an Associate Professor in the Department of Clinical Health Psychology at the Max Rady College of Medicine, University of Manitoba. She is also an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Psychology at the same institution. As Clinical Director at the Operational Stress Injury Clinic (Deer Lodge Centre) and Director of the Military, Veteran, and Police Health Research Lab, her work focuses on improving mental health outcomes for military personnel, veterans, and police officers.

Her research explores military, veteran, and police mental health, with specific expertise in chronic pain treatment, posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), suicide prevention, and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT). She has investigated internet-based therapies, emotional dysregulation, and workplace resilience strategies using mindfulness-based cognitive behavioral therapy.
Dr. Holens serves as Clinical Director at the Operational Stress Injury Clinic and leads the Military, Veteran, and Police Health Research Lab. Her cross-appointment to the Department of Psychology reflects interdisciplinary collaborations. She co-authored the most recent Report on Suicide Prevention in the Canadian Armed Forces.
