Pamela Flanagan

Pamela Flanagan is a Lecturer at the Glasgow School of Art (GSA), teaching on both undergraduate and postgraduate Interior Design programmes since 2013. Her work bridges practice and research, focusing on spatial interventions that challenge traditional boundaries of interior design.

Her research explores interdisciplinary approaches to interior design, emphasizing phenomenology, feminism, and ethics. She investigates how fictional spaces in film and television create dialogues between reality and narrative, contributing to contemporary understandings of interior environments.

Flanagan’s practice-based research integrates her extensive experience in Fashion Retail Interiors, Exhibition Design, and Experiential Brand Environments, analyzing their impact on everyday encounters with the built environment.
