Pamela Correll is an Associate Professor at the School of Teaching, Learning and Developmental Sciences at Missouri State University. She holds a MEd in Curriculum and Instruction (Literacy) from the University of Missouri and an EdD in Instruction and Administration (Literacy) from the University of Kentucky.
- Specializes in literacy education, culturally responsive instruction, and support for English learners
- Recipient of multiple teaching and research awards, including the 2017 Faculty Mentor Award at Missouri State University
- Teaches graduate and undergraduate courses in reading education, including RDG 474, RDG 795, and RDG 318
Research Focus: Correll's work centers on preparing pre-service teachers to implement culturally responsive pedagogical strategies and support the language and literacy development of English learners. Her research also addresses corrective literacy instruction for students with learning challenges.
Professional Affiliations: Member of Omicron Delta Kappa National Leadership Honor Society and Phi Kappa Phi Golden Key Honor Society. She received the Eugie E. Dean Research in Reading Fellowship from the University of Missouri.
