Pamela Breda

Dr. Pamela Breda is a Senior Research Fellow and educator at Arts University Bournemouth, specializing in experimental documentary and multiscreen installations. Her work bridges art and science, exploring themes like human-AI interaction, sensorial experience, and post-humanism. She holds a PhD in Visual Arts (Kingston University) and completed a senior postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Applied Arts Vienna. She teaches MA Film Practice, designing courses on Film Aesthetics and Cinematic Voices. Her research has been supported by grants from the Austrian Science Fund (FWF), Italian Council, and the European Commission's Joint Research Centre.

Her practice-based research investigates how emerging technologies reshape human perception. She has conducted residencies at Max Planck Institute, Villa Medici, and IMéRA, collaborating with artists, scientists, and anthropologists.

Teaching contributions include co-founding the Master IUAV in Photography and developing innovative pedagogical frameworks integrating critical theory with creative practice. Grants and fellowships support her interdisciplinary approach, emphasizing transdisciplinary collaboration between art and science.
