Pamela Brandes is a Professor of Management at Syracuse University's Martin J. Whitman School of Management. She holds a Bachelor's in Psychology from the University of Oklahoma (1992) and a Ph.D. in Management from the University of Cincinnati (1997). Her research focuses on executive compensation, corporate governance, and organizational behavior, with publications in journals like the Strategic Management Journal and Academy of Management Review. She has served as co-PI on a National Science Foundation SU Advance grant (2011–2016) and chairs Whitman's Promotion and Tenure Committee Executive Board. Dr. Brandes teaches courses in human resource management, leadership, and organizational behavior at both undergraduate and graduate levels.
Her professional recognitions include the Whitman Research Fellowship (2008–2010) and the Meredith Professorship Teaching Award (2005). She has advised doctoral students and contributed to editorial boards, including Human Resource Management Review. Previously, she chaired Syracuse University's Remembrance Scholar Committee (2016–2018) and was part of the Honors Program Core Faculty.
