Pam Orzeck is an Associate Professor at McGill University's School of Social Work, where she serves as the Director of Field Education and teaches courses in health field social work, social policy, caregiving, and field education. With 25 years of experience as a clinical and community social worker prior to her academic role, she specializes in caregiver bereavement, aging-related practices, and social policy interventions.

Research Interests: Pam focuses on family caregivers' experiences, particularly bereavement after caregiving; social gerontology (aging-related social practices and policies); community and homecare practice strategies; end-of-life care systems; and social isolation among seniors. She also emphasizes improving field education methodologies for social work students.
Advising & Field Education: As Director of Field Education, Pam leads a team ensuring meaningful clinical training experiences for students. Her work bridges academic training with real-world practice, fostering connections between research and frontline social work.
Current Projects: Pam coordinates a federal government initiative addressing seniors' social isolation and consults on committees and boards related to social policy and aging. Her research often intersects mental health and community-based interventions.
