Pam Briggs is a Professor at Northumbria University, focusing on digital trust, social media, and human-computer interaction.
Her research explores how trust relationships are established online and how personal experiences can drive social good, particularly for marginalized communities facing digital citizenship challenges. She investigates digital identity management, disclosure preferences, and peer sharing of health information across chronic conditions.
Current projects include developing a trusted platform for sharing personal experiences of volunteering (formal and informal) within the Digital Experience Research Centre (DERC).
