Paige L. Moore is a Lecturer and Doctoral Research Fellow in the School of Public and International Affairs (SPIA) at NC State University, with an adjunct appointment in the School of Social Work. She holds a Ph.D. in Public Administration (expected May 2024), an MSW (2020), and a BA in Political Science (2014), all from NC State. Her interdisciplinary work bridges social work and political science to address systemic inequities in policing, public administration, and disaster response.
Moore’s research focuses on social equity, administrative burdens in law enforcement, and culturally competent interventions. Notable projects include developing the ACORNS Team for the Raleigh Police Department, which earned her the 2020 NASW-NC President’s Award and a 2021 Chief’s Citation. She also received the 2021 ASPA Founder’s Fellow award. Her dissertation, Advancing Social Equity: The Administrative Burden of Police Complaints, was successfully defended in February 2024.
Her publications span policing reform, pandemic response equity, and restorative justice. She emphasizes interprofessional collaboration, particularly between social workers and law enforcement, to address marginalized populations’ needs. Moore also advocates for equitable policy implementation through her work with human service nonprofits and disaster response simulations.
