Dr. Paige E. Davis is a Lecturer in Developmental Psychology at the School of Psychology, University of Leeds, within the Faculty of Medicine and Health. She is also an Honorary Fellow at York St John University and serves as Lead Researcher for Theatre Hullabaloo’s 'Play on Prescription' programme in Darlington, evaluating the impact of play as a socially prescribed intervention for parents of young children.
Her research centers on imagination, imaginary companions, play, and creativity in child development, with a growing focus on autism, hallucination development, and the psychological aspects of parenthood. Her work bridges developmental psychology with public health and arts-based interventions.
Her recent research outputs reflect a strong interdisciplinary trend, combining developmental psychology with public health, clinical psychology, and arts-based social interventions. Key areas include social prescription, early childhood mental health, parental identity, and therapeutic play.
