Pablo Tittonell is a Professor of Agroecology and Sustainable Landscapes at the University of Groningen, holding a WWF-endowed Chair on Resilient Landscapes. He is affiliated with the Groningen Institute of Evolutionary Life Sciences and serves as a Senior Associate Researcher at CIRAD (France). His academic journey includes roles at Wageningen University, the National University of Lomas de Zamora (Argentina), and leadership in Argentina's Ministry of Agriculture until 2018. Fluent in Spanish, English, French, and Dutch, he contributes to global initiatives such as the IPBES report and CoSAI Commission.
His research focuses on agroecology, soil fertility, biodiversity, and climate change adaptation. He has authored over 170 articles (H-index 45) and trained numerous researchers globally. Key awards include the WWF Chair and CONICET Honorary Membership. His work spans projects like CurveBend, addressing biodiversity restoration and landscape resilience.
