Pablo Santa Cruz

Prof. Pablo Santa Cruz serves as Professor of Double Bass at the Hanover University of Music, Drama and Media, commencing in the winter semester 2025/2026. Prior to this, he was affiliated with the Berlin University of the Arts since 2019. Born in 1991 in Mexico City to a Guatemalan father and Puerto Rican mother, Santa Cruz trained at prestigious institutions including the Puerto Rico Music Academy, Reina Sofía School of Music (Madrid), and Hanns Eisler School of Music (Berlin), studying under Antonio García Araque, Duncan McTier, Janne Saksala, and Esko Laine.
