معرفی
Pablo Ramos Sainz is an Associate Professor at the Department of Electronics, Universidad de Alcalá. His research focuses on ferroelectric materials, piezoelectric ceramics, and multiferroic composites, with emphasis on material synthesis (e.g., sol-gel and mechanochemical methods) and their applications in sensors and advanced electronic systems. He leads the GRIFO Photonics Engineering Group, exploring interfaces between photonics and material science.
Education: PhD in Materials Science from Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (1997) with a thesis on ferroelectric thin films modified via sol-gel processes. Supervised by Dr. Jesús Mendiola Sáenz.
Research interests include multiferroic morphotropic phase boundaries, magnetoelectric composites, and high-performance piezoelectric materials. Recent work highlights include lead-free ferroelectric ceramics, tailored multilayer composites, and high-sensitivity thermal detectors. His publications span material synthesis, structural characterization, and device applications.
Notable contributions involve optimizing magnetoelectric composites through grain boundary conductivity adjustments and developing novel templated grain growth techniques for textured ceramics. Current projects aim to enhance material performance via nanostructuring and interface engineering.
He is affiliated with the GRIFO Group, focusing on photonics engineering and advanced material systems. His work bridges fundamental material science with practical applications in sensors, energy harvesting, and smart devices.
