Pablo Amorós González is a Full Professor of Economics at the University of Málaga, affiliated with the Department of Economic Theory and History within the Faculty of Economics and Business Sciences. He previously held positions at the University of Granada, University of Alicante, and Universidad Complutense de Madrid. His research focuses on Mechanism Design, Social Choice, Political Economy, and Game Theory, with publications in journals such as the Journal of Economic Theory and Public Choice. He has been a Visiting Scholar at Harvard University, University of Rochester, and others.
Education: PhD in Economics from the University of Alicante.
Research interests include the strategic design of economic systems, political competition, and voting mechanisms. His work often bridges theoretical models with real-world applications in policy design and electoral systems.
Teaching includes courses on Game Theory and Advanced Microeconomics (in English). He leads the Experimental Lab (Smart Decision Lab) and chairs the Competition Policy research group. He has secured grants such as the THE-Motiva Grant. His research collaborations include studies on jury systems and electoral reforms.
