Pelin Derinalp is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Foreign Language Education at Gaziantep Education Faculty, Gaziantep University, Turkey (since 2023). She holds a PhD in Education from the University of York (2022) and a Master’s degree from the University of Southampton (2018), with a focus on English language education and reflective practice. Her academic career spans roles at Gaziantep University (2022-2023) and teaching experience at international institutions.

Research interests include artificial intelligence in education, learner autonomy, reflective practice, and language acquisition. She has published extensively on AI integration in EFL teaching, cross-cultural validation of educational instruments, and bibliometric analyses of pedagogical trends.
Recent publications (2022-2025) explore AI adoption in teacher education, reflective practice metrics, EAP program evaluations, and cross-cultural bullying studies. Her work appears in SSCI and Scopus-indexed journals, reflecting a strong focus on empirical and cross-cultural research.
