Pál Raczky

Pál Raczky is a Professor at the Institute of Archaeological Sciences, Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE), affiliated with the Department of Prehistory and Near Eastern Archaeology. His research spans Neolithic, Copper Age, and Bronze Age archaeology, with a focus on human-environment interactions, settlement structures, and ancient DNA analysis in the Carpathian Basin.

Recent publications examine woodland exploitation in the Great Hungarian Plain, mobility patterns through isotope analysis, tuberculosis in prehistory, and cultural exchanges in Neolithic ceramics. His work includes field studies at sites like Öcsöd-Kováshalom and Polgár-Csőszhalom, employing multidisciplinary methods such as archaeobotany and DNA extraction protocols.
