Ozren Bogdanovic

Ozren Bogdanovic is an Adjunct Associate Professor at the University of New South Wales and a Lab Head at the Garvan Institute of Medical Research. He obtained his PhD in Molecular Biology from Radboud University (Netherlands) and conducted postdoctoral work at the University of Western Australia.

• Research Focus: Epigenomics, DNA methylation, and their roles in vertebrate embryogenesis and cancer.
• Key Contributions: Discovery of conserved epigenome remodeling in vertebrate development and studies on non-CpG methylation in zebrafish and lamprey.

Recent Trends: 2025 work includes genome assembly techniques and DNA methylation readers in plants. Earlier studies (2024–2022) explore tumor biomechanics, dingo genomics, and epigenetic dynamics in cancer and development.
