معرفی
Owen Patashnick is a Senior Heilbronn Research Fellow at King's College London, with a joint appointment at the University of Bristol. He holds a PhD from the University of Chicago (2000) under Spencer Bloch. His research focuses on Arithmetic Geometry, Periods, L-functions, Motives, and Algebraic Cycles. Previously, he held positions at Duke University (Assistant Research Professor and Visiting Professor) and Ben Gurion University (Research Associate).
- Education: PhD in Mathematics, University of Chicago, 2000
- Teaching: Taught LTCC course on Algebraic Cycles with Applications to Motives in 2024
His research explores intersections of algebraic geometry and number theory, including motivic structures, elliptic motives, and applications to cohomological theories. Recent work includes explicit constructions of elliptic surface coverings and studies of motivic graphs in mixed Tate contexts.
He participates in initiatives like the London School of Geometry & Number Theory (LSGNT), a tri-institutional EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training. His work bridges pure mathematics and theoretical physics, as seen in earlier studies of black hole energy-momentum dynamics.
