Owen Chapman is a Professor in Sound Production and Scholarship at Concordia University's Department of Communication Studies. His work bridges sound art, research-creation, and mobility studies, focusing on the role of sound in everyday life through electronic composition, app design, and site-specific installations. He collaborates internationally with artists like Peter Sinclair and Vivek Venkatesh, producing projects such as Selfie Orchestra and Landscape of Hate/Hope that engage with critical issues around technology, disability, and media literacy.
