Owe Philipsen

Owe Philipsen serves as Professor at Goethe University Frankfurt's Institute of Theoretical Physics within the Department of Physics. His office is located in room 02.101 of the physics building at Max-von-Laue-Str. 1, Frankfurt am Main, with scheduled office hours on Tuesdays from 10:00 to 12:00.

Professor Philipsen's research centers on theoretical particle physics, with particular expertise in quantum field theory and lattice QCD (Quantum Chromodynamics). His work addresses fundamental questions regarding the structure of elementary matter under various conditions. For the upcoming Winter semester 2025/26, he will teach courses on quantum field theory and the standard model of particle physics while leading specialized seminars on lattice theories for QCD at finite density and phase diagram simulations.
